An historic east Leeds rugby club is launching an urgent drive to find the next generation of talent.
East Leeds Amateur Rugby League Football Club is facing a major player shortage in its U-9s side and wants youngsters to come along for training sessions.

The club has been a proving ground for some of the country's finest RL talent, with stars such as Danny McGuire and Richie Mathers coming through the club's ranks.

But coaches are desperate for new players to join up with the Under Nines.

Coach Craig Waite said: "It's a great chance for kids to come along, make friends, stay fit and play the great game of Rugby League under a fully qualified coaching team."

The Under Nines train at Fearnville Sports Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6.15pm onwards and league games take place on Sunday mornings.

Parents wanting more information can contact Mr Waite on 07958 002715.
