Halton: £117,000 for new play area

Youngsters in Halton have been boosted by the news that they will get a new £117,000 play area.
The multi-use games area to be built at Meadowfield Primary School in Halton Moor can be used for a range of sports including football, basketball, cricket, tennis and netball. Work is due to begin this month with a projected completion date of the end of August.

Coun Michael Lyons (Lab, Temple Newsam) said: "It is really great news that Halton Moor will soon have its very own play area. It will be a fantastic asset to the community as a whole. Facilities like this are so important for the young people."
