It marks the second year of the scheme, which is co-ordinated by Leeds City Council and offers a way for businesses and others to show their appreciation for the work done by key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ahead of the national ‘Thankyou Day’ on July 4, organisations such as Leeds Rhinos Leeds Playhouse, First Direct Arena and many more have pledged to offer special deals on events and experiences.

“Our involvement in the ‘Leeds Says Thanks’ scheme is a just a small gesture of our gratitude for all those who have supported the city in their professional roles.”
Venues to have signed up so far include Sheaf St, The Tetley, The Wardrobe and the Key Club, while events like Slam Dunk Festival are also participating.
Council leader James Lewis said: “In Leeds we have such a fantastically diverse and colourful cultural scene which unfortunately has been hard hit by the pandemic. But with signs of normality returning and doors beginning to reopen, it is exciting to see so many local businesses and organisations come together in saying thanks to NHS and frontline workers for their tremendous efforts over the last 16 months.
