Rare archive footage of Pudsey's fish and microchips
The BBC footage from November 1987 shows how fish and chips were being hauled into the computer age.
Science and technology series Tomorrow’s World went to Pudsey to see how a local chippy was using technology to get the perfect fish and chips.

Hide AdThe chippy was using a computer controlled fish frying range to serve up a supper to remember.
"Now although there is no one correct temperature to fry at, generally, if the fat is too cool the potatoes and the batter soak it up, " presenter Howard Stableford told viewers. "And you not only get a soggy fish supper bur rather an unhealthy one too. But properly fried fish and chips can provide a very good balanced diet. It's all in the cooking."
