Despite Covid, property sales remained strong in Leeds, with average house prices shooting up in some areas as people moved out towards the suburbs in search of a home office and a bigger garden. Estate agents in west Leeds suburb of Pudsey in particular saw a huge demand for homes in the area and it has since been named as one of the top property hotspots in the UK by Rightmove.

2. Rothwell
The average house price in Rothwell was £201,247 in 2019. It has risen by 12.9 per cent £227,177.
3. Garforth
The average house price in Garforth was £200,478. It has risen by 12.7 per cent and is now £225,922.
4. Adel
The average house price in Adel was £279,867. It has risen by 10.2 per cent and is now £308,363.
5. Wetherby
The average house price in Wetherby was £281,700. It has risen by 10 per cent and is now £309,956.
6. Moortown
The average house price in Moortown was £283,488. It has risen by 9.5 per cent and is now £310,477.
