A church in Seacroft is to host its first-ever Christmas Tree Festival.

St James Church will be holding the event from Thursday, December 10, to Sunday, December 13.

The church will be filled with 30 real Christmas trees, each one sponsored and decorated by a local business, school or community group.
There will also be a life-size nativity scene made by students at the David Young Community Academy, and Santa will be in residence in his grotto,

The festival is open from 4pm to 8pm each day, culminating with a carol service at 6pm on Sunday.

Entry to the festival is £1 (entrance to the carol service is free) and proceeds will go to the church.
