Leeds drug dealer hid £1,900 worth of skunk cannabis and knuckle duster in oven at his home in Belle Isle

Officers also found a knuckle duster and a mobile phone containing incriminating text messages at the property in Belle Isle.
Leeds Crown Court heard West Yorkshire Police officers went to David Clarke's home on October 1, 2019, to arrest him in connection with another matter.

Hide AdJoe Culley, prosecuting, said the class B drug was found in the oven divided into seven bags.
The drug had a street value of up to £1,950
The officers also recovered a knuckle duster, a metal box containing a set of scales and a damaged mobile phone.
A second mobile phone was found in the property which contained text messages linking Clarke to the supply of drugs.
The 32-year-old said the drugs were for as his own use as he "smoked a hell of a lot."

Hide AdClarke admitted the offending when confronted with the text message evidence.
He pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
Clarke has previous convictions for violent offences, possessing an offensive weapon and possession of a blade.
Jessica Heggie, mitigating, said Clarke pleaded guilty to the offence at the earliest opportunity.

Hide AdMs Heggie said Clarke has been working hard to change his life while custody.
The barrister said her client is now on medication for mental health difficulties and had enrolled in a drug and alcohol course.
Judge Tom Bayliss QC imposed a four-month sentence, to run consecutive to the sentence he is currently serving.
