Scooter seized in south Leeds after being ridden on pavement 'without lights, number plates or insurance'

Officers from the Morley Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) spotted the scooter without its lights on near Bradford Road, Tingley, on Monday.
They stopped the vehicle, which was being ridden on the pavement, and found it did not have any number plates.

Hide AdWhen officers ran checks on the scooter, it showed as having no valid insurance or road tax.
The vehicle was seized and the driver was reported for the offence of having no insurance, driving a vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence and failing to display registration plates.
He has been summoned to court.
A spokesperson for the Morley NPT said: "Officers from Morley NPT sighted this e-scooter being driven on the pavement without lights on, in the vicinity of Bradford Road, in Tingley.
"Officers stopped the vehicle and identified it was not displaying any number plates, the vehicle was also showing as having no valid insurance or tax, all of which are required by law.
