Crowds flock as Beeston Festival returns
Beeston Festival returned to Cross Flatts Park at the weekend.
Now in its 24th year, the event featured live entertainment - from street dancers to clowns - alongside food and craft stalls and activities for families.

Hide AdSet around the main stage, music and dance performances wowed packed crowds on Saturday at the park.
Coun Andrew Scopes (Labour, Beeston and Holbeck), who attended and volunteered on the day, said the festival was “fantastic”.
He told the YEP: “It was completely buzzing.
“It was great to see such a vibrant community there - people from all different areas of Beeston.
“It was an absolutely fantastic day.
“I would like to say a massive thank you to the committee who organised it too.”

Hide AdBeeston Festival is organised by a festival committee, with support from volunteers.
Coun Scopes said there were several volunteers helping throughout the day to ensure the event ran smoothly.
“That’s one of the really nice things as well,” he said.
“When you see people coming together and giving up their free time to help out.”
Also on offer this year were animals - including an alpaca - and sports and games for youngsters in the park.

Hide AdOn the dancing front, there were exotic belly dancing displays from the Egyptia dance group and performances from youngsters from Icon Studios.
For those looking for a bargain, a bazaar area was opened complete with jewellery, plants, clothes and information stalls for visitors to browse.
