Merton Gardens Farsley incident: Man left with severe arm injuries after circular saw accident

Police, firefighters and paramedics were rushed to Merton Gardens, Farsley, at 2.30pm after a neighbour heard the man's cries for help.
Firefighters and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) freed the man from the device.

Hide AdHe suffered a severe arm injury in the accident and has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.
West Yorkshire Fire station commander Ronnie Goldwater told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “We were called to reports of a gentleman with his arm trapped in a circular saw.
"Thankfully, a neighbour heard his cries for help and jumped over the fence to get to his aid.
“We sent out the technical rescue unit, a fire engine from Stanningley and I went to supervise as technical officer.

Hide Ad"Yorkshire Ambulance, HART and an air ambulance attended the scene.
"We administered oxygen and it took us about twenty minutes to free the gentleman from the saw.
"He was left with a severe injury to his arm and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment."
