Josh Ellis 25, was addicted to both substances for nearly two years.
However, he has now been clean from drugs for more than 120 days after getting help and being supported by Vulnerable Citizen Support Leeds, a charity based in the city fronted by Hayden Lee.

Hide AdHe has even started to work as a landscaper thanks to help from the charity, who helped him find somewhere to live.
Photographs taken of Josh when he was an addict in contrast to this week have garnered huge reaction on social media in Leeds.
Many people have praised his heroic efforts so far.
Vulnerable Citizen Support C.I.C aims to help the most destitute people in society.
They provide food parcels to struggling individuals and families and assist in finding accommodation for anybody who needs it.
Their slogan is "Homeless Not Helpless".

Hide AdThe group found Josh on the streets of Leeds - outside a Greggs store in a sleeping bag on Kirkstall Road.
Now, Josh has returned to the store to find shop manager Shelagh - who bought him his breakfast and a hot drink every morning he was homeless outside.
Josh told Shelagh she had saved his life, without her knowing it.
He told her: "I want to say thank you for what you did buying me breakfast each morning."
The pair posed for photographs to mark the occasion, which have since gone viral on social media.
Josh's story is shared by Hayden Lee and the charity with regular updates on Facebook.
