Humpit to open at Leeds retail park The Springs
The retailer opens its doors for the first time at Thorpe Park in east Leeds on Wednesday, February 12.
Established as a street food pop-up in July 2014 the brand has quickly become the fastest growing plant-based food company in the UK and was recognised in 2015 as the best street food newcomer in the UK by Richard Branson’s Virgin Start-Up.

Hide AdIt is hoped the new healthy lunchtime offering will appeal to both shoppers at The Springs as well as the 5,000 staff employed at Thorpe Park.
Jonathan Phillips, who set up Humpit with his father Simon Phillips, said: "We are really excited to be opening our 13th store at The Springs. It’s always great to be able to expand in our home city and whilst we already have two in Leeds, Thorpe Park Leeds has a unique offering in that it has a self-serving and fast emerging community crying out for fast and healthy lunch options.”
Serving a selection of fresh salads, hummus, falafel and drinks, Humpit will be open seven days a week at The Springs between the hours of 11.30am-3pm. Customers will be able to benefit from a special introductory offer of a filled pitta for £2.50.
Simon Marshall, Joint Chief Executive at Scarborough International Properties which is developing Thorpe Park Leeds with funding partner Legal & General, said: "We are keen to offer a blend of street style operators alongside restaurants at the scheme, and indeed a mix of healthy and indulgent food choices.
