Video: Escaped swan causes havoc in Leeds suburb
The huge bird left the lake in Gledhow Valley Woods, just over a mile away, after water levels fell too low to be able to support it.
It was seen on Spencer Place, the main thoroughfare which links Chapeltown and Harehills, on Monday afternoon.

The Friends of Gledhow Valley Woods confirmed that a family of swans had evacuated the beauty spot in search of a larger body of water.
The female’s mate was seen at Oakwood Clock on the same day and volunteers now hope they will be reunited on Roundhay’s lake.
Arrangements are also being made to transport the breeding pair’s remaining cygnet to Roundhay.
Amraiz and Ahsanul Islam filmed the swan being caught by an RSPCA officer.
