Tickets for those in the first ballot window are on sale now

As we head into the autumn and winter, summer 2023 might feel like a long time away. However, for cricket fans, it will come around sooner than you think. The countdown to the 2023 Ashes series is well and truly underway with the opening of the ticket ballot for the match at Headingley now closed- meaning hopefuls will be patiently waiting to grab their tickets.

Headingley is set to host the Third LV= Insurance Men’s Ashes Test starting from Thursday July 6 2023. Following a disappointing 4-0 series lost in Australia less than a year ago, England will be keen to bounce back and win their first Ashes series in eight years. Depending on how the first two matches play out, England could even seal victory in Leeds next July.

This is then followed later in the summer by a One Day International between England and Ireland on Wednesday September 20.

Those who entered the ballot and have received word that they have been successful have from today (October 24) until Thursday October 27 to purchase up to four tickets per person. This will be the first of two ballot windows.

The second stage will open up to successful entries on Friday October 28 and will be open for fans to buy up to four tickets each until Monday October 31. This will then be followed by a general sale which begins on Tuesday November 1.

Fans who have been picked as successful in the second ballot window should have also received an email with a link that will take you to the ticketing website once the second window opens. Tickets for the first three days of the Ashes test begin at £50 for adults and £20 for children. The most expensive ticket will be in the Howard Stand Upper and will cost £150.
