Yorkshire CCC 2016: One-day success also vital, says Jason Gillespie

YORKSHIRE are not just gunning for a hat-trick of County Championship titles this summer.

They are also striving for a significant improvement in white-ball cricket.

Yorkshire have not won a domestic one-day tournament since 2002, when they lifted the old Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy, and they want to make headway in the Royal London Cup and T20 Blast.

Although the club reached the Royal London semi-finals last year, which represented a decent effort, their T20 form was again poor and remains something they are especially determined to improve.

It was the main reason, in fact, why they were keen to allow first-team coach Jason Gillespie to expand his coaching horizons during the winter by taking charge of Big Bash franchise Adelaide Strikers.
