United sit third in the Championship ahead of the Hatters clash this afternoon, and Bamford believes he and his team-mates must take it slowly in their quest for promotion to the Premier League this season.
"It's cliche but it's about taking each game as it comes," Bamford said.
"We look at it week by week. Sometimes you have three games in a week sometimes you have just one. If we can keep the same approach we have so far we'll be alright."

Hide AdUnited's number nine, though, did admit it was nice to finally break his barren spell.
"I thought I'd scored in the game before (against QPR) but it was ruled out for offside," he continued.
"I actually laughed when I saw the flag go up. You're just left thinking when is it going to come.
"It does get to a point where you're thinking how many games am I going to have to wait, so I knew when I got the penalty that I was taking it.
"There was no chance anyone else was having it. It was nice to get it out the way."
