'So important for the club, for the city' - Ex-Leeds United striker delivers verdict on Whites' top-flight return

Although suffering defeat, Leeds’ attacking style earned plaudits from fans and pundits alike.

Hide AdAnd Hasselbaink, who turned out for Leeds between 997 and 1999, claimed his old club's promotion from the Championship is very much to the Premier League’s benefit.
“It’s so important (to have Leeds back),” he told Sky Sports.
“So important for the club, for the city, for the supporters but also for the Premier League.
“The Premier League is going to be a better competition with Leeds in it. The atmosphere in that stadium, at Elland Road, to be back in the Premier League… I am looking forward to it.”
