LEEDS CHIEFS’ player-coach Sam Zajac has challenged his misfiring team to step up their compete level in order to avoid the second half of their debut season becoming a washout.

For the second time in three days, the NIHL National’s bottom-placed team came off second-best in miserable fashion.

On Sunday, they were hammered 11-1 at Bracknell Bees, while yesterday’s fourth and final visit of the season to Ice Sheffield saw them humbled 9-2 by their Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Steeldogs.
